540, is it?
Remus or AC Schnitzer would be your best bet for the exhaust. Then H&R lowering spring with some wheel spacers if you are not planning to change the stock wheels.

Did you paint the rear gloss black? Do you have any pics of the back of your car in sunlight? What kind of rear spoiler lip is that? |

Drive through carwash though, it would be something you want to avoid with lowered car. Ride quality is very good. So far all of them are M Sport suspension. So it may ride differently on non M Sport.

With armytrix exhaust and its dongle you will a lot problems with car alarm while left dongle in..
3ddesign looks sounds good. Never seen real how it sounds. All exhausts sound good if delete resonator (grab cat -back). Buy AC shnitzer lowering springs. (But have them fitted in proper garage beacuse all wheel alignment must be done again). Next week I will be playing with MHD flasher as they said got switch to drop coolant level to same level as M cars. 106C down to 95C. I D and in sport to 85C. Car will last much longer. |

I recently had installed a BMW M Performance Exhaust on my 540xi. It is definitely louder than stock. There is some drone around 2,000-2,400 rpm under light to moderate throttle that I am surprised BMW allows to exist since it is easy to fix in design. The transmission seems to shift back to that point when changing gears under normal to moderate acceleration. Not sure I am entirely satisfied with it but will live with it for a year and see if I want to go back to stock or get a different exhaust. Saved the original muffler and valance. I enjoy the exhaust on my Z06 because it is adjustable for sound levels and does not drone. --Bob

Remus requires 550i rear diffuser as it has huge exhaust tips.... It will fit only if he modifies rear diffuser as 99.9% of e bay stuf will not fit I had the same issue and had to modify Springs I would recommend eibach as they are almost same as stock but much lower....H&R are traditionally stiff/harsh.

My car is very similar to yours and I am considering a rear diffuser. I see yours is gloss black. Do you know what brand it is / where you got it? Thanks! |
