Add a trunk sub to a HK set up - now with pics of box.

Does anyone have any pictures of where they took power from the battery. I can figure it out but it might save me some time.

Just go off the positive battery post? A good power cable kit will come with a small fish eye to attach to one of the small screw posts coming off the main lead of the battery. Also, a good sub will be able to detect the signal and know when it's off to self power down.

I wouldn't use the battery, I'd use the terminal under the hood. Don't want to upset (or bypass) the IBS.

That would be a long run front to rear. I’m tempted to go off the battery as suggested.

Much easier to get to the battery in the trunk. You an fully disconnected the battery before attaching your amp terminals, it won't reset anything in the car.

The beauty of adding a sub in these cars is that you work exclusively in the trunk- amp is in the back left, battery in middle, fuse box to the right for your ignition switched source. No holes to drill, no long wire runs- very simple.

Devil84 - I’m doing the install next week with the LC4.800.

Can you recall what you did with the crossover for the underseat subwoofers? I assume given it’s high pass you set it the lowest which is 30hz?

I have a DSP amp controlling the signal going into the LC4-800. i have band passed it about 70hz to 200hz.

did you get the ski hatch box in the end?

I ended up getting the stealth box. Sorry I tried to PM but your inbox was full.

I’m not expecting miracles but it will surely help and the next step is to upgrade the underseat woofers. Beyond that I probably won’t bother.

Far out...After doing some pre-checking I went to install the sub and it looks my pre-LCI 2020 has the LCI HK RAM and Booster.

So the harness I have from Technics PNP won't work and I'm not even sure I can use the AMP either.

Only references I've found is to use 1.9RAM-HK and UP10DSP which I don't think gives me power to my subwoofer.

Kinda bummed out as I didn't pull the entire side panel off when I did my investigation before ordering anything!

I did buy the correct one and already installed it. I guess I will post it on ebay whenever I get a chance lol

Just send them your VIN and they will know what you need. I skipped that step and wasted $70..
