I love it. Everything integrates as needed. No complaints with the screen. I can't stand Tesla and Audi with there large screens. Doesn't look right to me. Also, don't ever put a fingerprint on my screen!!!! Idrive controller only!!

This is a function of the just released iOS 13. If you have a phone that can run the latest OS, update then you have this new look.

Plus best part is now you can do anything on your phone and still have whatever you want on CarPlay, it's not tied to the app like it used to be before

Using siri shortcuts you can just say your command and configure it to bypass Apple maps and just have waze launch without fighting with CarPlay to change the maps. Love it.

For the most part, but it depends on the app. the Apple stuff works. Google maps is utter trash, so disappointing because on the phone you can't do anything in the app other then see the text-based turn directions. and the carplay app is poorly designed.

Googles poor software design as of late is really opening the door for others, although Apple's maps app is still the worst by a long shot.

Not without jail breaking. No way Apple will let themselves be included in a front page story that someone crashed watching movies on CarPlay. They aren’t reckless...
