What tires for best traction?

I’m looking at Mickey Thompson drag radials but not sure if I should run 19’s or 20’s.

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - supposed to be the best for street and a bit of track, perfect for my requirements. All track, pilot sport cup 2's.. For drag, Nittos.

315/30/20 Nitto Nt01 or same size in Toyo R888R. If you are under 750-800whp they will hold your car down and drive fine on the street and even in a little rain, just have to be careful.

Drag. I have pilot supersports and they’re not that great. With tune and mods right now it’ll spin all the way to smoke in 2nd. If I could get traction in at least second I’d be happy. If it caught in first this car would be serious business.

Would 19’s or 20’s be better? In my drag cars with actual slicks I know more sidewalk is better, idk if that translates to radial or sticky street tires.

20's would be better just because you can get the size I mentioned and it is still close to OEM within a couple % due to the 30 sidewall. They are sticky but not too tall so they look good and you will not have anymore traction issues in 2nd. Still spins a little in 1st then grips and you take off like all hell broke loose
