Worse quality through USB than radio?

Sat down in my M550i with Bowers and explored it a little and it seems for me that the quality through USB with Spotify is worse than radio? Could it be like this or is it just me?
The DAB is not on and the radio stations in my country does not send in HD.
In my other cars I have always had the best sound quality through USB.

Also I find the sound quality worse with bluetooth?

What is your opinions on this, or is it just my ears?

Best Quality: USB flash drive with flac audio or CD
Worst Quality: Bluetooth

Properly tuned EQ will make good sources sound better and poor sources sound worse.

Yup, and it's muchly down to bluetooth having to compress the stream to be able to transfer the data quick enough.

I use an EQ app on my phone to try and improve it a little but it's still not great and bluetooth is quieter than DAB/FM by quite a bit.

Unless something has changed, Spotify has a really low default bit rate for streaming. Check your settings to see if you need to increase it.

Yeah I make sure mine is always on extreme, which I believe is about the same quality as 320kbps mp3.
