Purchased Silver Vision Bulbs for Front Turn Signals

Hello,

These bulbs still flash yellow when your turn signals are on, despite not appearing yellow when not engaged.

This is only relevant to those who have the standard LED headlights not the icon upgraded lights.

I picked up a set of Philips Silver Vision Bulbs to replace the stock yellow turn signal bulbs.

For reference, this is what it looks like stock.

After I changed it out, it looks like this.

Here they are side by side:

I really prefer this look over stock, and the nice thing is, Philips claims the bulbs are of OEM quality.

I have these same bulbs in a 2014 Honda Pilot, and they've been working great for the past 3+ years now without any issues.

I'd like to run LED's, but then I'd on my car I would need external load resistors... maybe so on the G30's as well, since I had to do that with my E92. But point being, those Phillips Silver Vision bulbs work great.

The LED's I posted are CANbus friendly. They did not trigger any notifications in my G30.

One of the reasons I opted for icon headlights this time. On my f32 I didn’t realize they’d look so different so I coded the corners to only come on during turns, it looked real good.

Switching those out made your car look way better.

Are these as simple plug and play, or so you need to add anything else or do anything to keep the car from not acknowledging them?

It was pretty easy, you just need to turn the front wheels over to the right or left depending on which side your putting in. Then you pry open a panel in the wheel well right behind the front bumper. In there you'll find the bulb. The size is PY24W.
