Picked up my 540i on 9/29 in alpine white with black dakota leather, M Sport, 20" Wheels, Driver's Assist Package, Parking Package, Harmon Kardon, Black Grills, LED Door Projectors, Level 1 Paint Protection Film, and Multi Contour Seats.

Did a 36 month lease @ 10k miles per year

MSRP : $70,345
Selling Price: $60,863
Rebates: $4,500: 2k loyalty credit, 1k lease credit, 500 costco credit, and 1k from BMW Ultimate Drive Event

$1k of which is included in the selling price (Ultimate Drive Event Credit) the other 3.5k is as cap reduction

Down payment: $3,500

Residual: 61%

Payment incl. tax (LA County @ 9.5%) = $599.93

Also will be applying the BMWCCA mail in rebate for a $1k check back to me.

Pretty Solid deal....

Oct incentives seem pretty weak, must be the lull before the storm of Nov/Dec incentives. I'm glad I 90 day locked at the end of Sept.

Anyone hear what the Oct MF is? Rumor had it as on an upswing for the rest of the year (which may negate any addl incentives in Nov/Dec)

No actual numbers from my CA, just a brief "worse" from him via email when I asked about the October programs.

I'm holding out hope for possible holiday incentives starting in November. But like you, I have also locked September. Car should be off the boat and ready at the dealer just towards the end of this month. So the waiting game continues...

So I see. Thank you for this new thread.

Is the current MF available, or is that one of the new no-no's?

I called Costco and locked in the $500 by placing a factory order on the last day of the promotion. My salesman at first told me the same thing you said but Costco said as long as the order is placed by 10/1 the offer is good.

So the selling price of $60,863 includes 1k from the rebates. The rest of the $3500 was used as part of down payment. So technically my down payment was $7k of which $3500 was cash and $3500 was in rebate form.

So overall about $9500+3500 = $13,000

But the $3500 rebates are taxed.

In short yes $9500 off MSRP before the down payment (which includes $3500 worth of rebates).

I apologize if it sounds confusing.

So you basically got $13k off of a $70k car. Thought i did good at $10.5k off $80k MSRP. Nice going.
What is BMW Ultimate Driver event?

What is BMW Ultimate Driver event?
In essence, yes!

The ultimate drive event is an event hosted by BMW and some of its partners where you get to go behind the wheel with an instructor and do timed laps. Afterwards you can take cars on street drives on a pre-determined route. They provide snacks and refreshments. You have to sign up for the even in advance because spots are limited and its free to attend. And for attending BMW emails you a rebate code that you provide to the dealer at time of purchase. I am from Los Angeles, CA so I am not sure if it is different elsewhere.

Forgot to mention that there is a leaderboard for each city and the individual with the best time in that city is sent to BMW Perforance Center West (Thermal, CA) for a showdown between the top individual of each city. The individual in the end with the top time is crowned the ultimate driver.

I'm just giving you a due diligence heads up...

My CA stated that all dealers had received a memo from BMWNA that effective immediately, the Costco incentive was to no longer be accepted. He told me this on Sept 22nd, long before the incentive was due to expire.

It doesn't matter what Costco told you. They can say anything they would like. But your BMW dealer (NOT Costco) is the one that needs to accept the incentive as part of your deal. If BMWNA won't let them accept it, hopefully they are making it up elsewhere.

I would check with your CA, NOT Costco, and maybe even get something in writing!

That's NOT right!

$3500 of that was a cash "down payment" as he called it, but nothing more than a cap cost reduction to get his payments down. So, he's at $9500 which is a lot more realistic. By the way, down payments, or whatever you want to call them, are NOT a good idea on a lease.

You need to be careful, do the math, and make sure you're not expecting too much...

I could give my dealer $25k to get my payments down. Does that mean I got $35k off the MSRP...

To explain further, I see a lot of threads where members post sales numbers vs the msrp and their deal looks fantastic - until you start to deconstruct it. Rebates, incentives, discounts, whatnot, all get thrown in together and can make the deal seem artificially impressive - when it's really not. Unless you are looking at the actual lease agreement, you should take other's deals with several grains of salt.

If you look at the $60,863 price, that is AFTER $4500 in rebates. So, the selling price of the car is $65,363. Given that the invoice on my car is roughly 93.8% of MSRP, using the same math, his invoice is roughly $65,983. In essence, he paid $620 below invoice.

That is really the gist of what you need to look at, because everyone is entitled to the same rebates if you are eligible for them. And anyone can pay more "down payment" or cap reduction to get their monthly payments down, again, to an artificial number.

I believe $620 below invoice is marginally fair. But I also know there was a fair amount more that could have been negotiated off the actual selling price of the car, before leasing was even discussed. Which, by the way, is the ONLY way to negotiate a deal.

With that being said, there are too many factors that can dictate a dealer's price (specific model, your location, time of the year, day of the month, etc). It's nearly impossible for all of us to be on the same page. Also, after seeing other’s deals, there is a preconception that you should be in a particular price neighborhood. So while I know many do, I don’t really feel it is appropriate to publicly discuss the deal received. I don't want anyone walking in to see my CA and saying, "Hey, I know you gave someone $XXXX off on their car, I want the same!"

Please note, I am NOT singling armanm's deal out in any way. Armanm, I apologize if it appears that way. I am just using it as an example of what I've just explained.

Keeping it super simple, at present for my '19 M550 I am getting $2000 below Invoice (there is decent holdback on these cars) and with no markup on BMWNA MF. (I'm grandfathered into MSDs so will be taking those as well)
This is NOT including any BMWNA incentives or rebates. I have a 90 day lock on September incentives but may take the Nov/Dec incentives upon delivery instead if they are more favorable and if the MF has not increased and negated any additional holiday season incentives.
Im told if I keep/use my Sept lock then they will honor the $500 Fleet program that has since been suspended and then of course the CCA rebate as well on top of the BMWNA incentives.

That $3,500 you are referring to is in the form of rebates, not cash that I paid to the dealer. The dealer discounted $9,500 and another $3,500 in rebates. So $13,500 plus my down payment of an additional $3,500 brings a total cap reduction of $17,000.

I guess you missed the part where I got the $500 Costco fleet discount from my dealer. BMWNA originally sent out a letter saying the Costco discount was to end on the 3rd but then later extended it until the end of the month. Sorry you didn't get it.
