fresh detailed and tinted 2018 530e, silver metallic

Took delivery on 12-Sep of this beauty from BMW in Massachusetts. Was manufactured in June of 2018 and happened to be at the dealer just waiting for my butt. haha -

It's Glacier Silver with nicer 19" wheels that I really adore and as displayed by my post, I'm very excited.

I gave it to a friend of mine for a ceramic paint treatment and tint...Before and afters below. I am soooo glad I tinted, huge difference and after owning about I'd say 10 cars (not 1 ever new), I've never had my car's windows tinted.

Oh boy, cameras make such a big difference. Pardon the crappy photo quality, working on better ones...

Looks really elegant, that silver is really nice. Will be easy to keep clean too. I've always found silver great for that 👍🏼

Congrats!

Thank you! I'm very excited. The ceramic my friend recommended said it would last more than a traditional wax and I'm hoping it makes maintenance on it easier. He did a great job on the car.

The negative aspect was that there were a about 25 or so sap marks that penetrated the clear-coat and he couldn't get it out even with clay and 2-step polish. I'm thinking about asking the dealer to see if there's anything they can do to compensate me since I bought the car with 295 miles on it and I was expecting like-new (if not new) paint. Not sure if anyone has an opinion on that, but it's not too outrageous to expect near-flawless paint on a $64k MSRP vehicle is it??

Thing is, when I took delivery I didn't scrutinize it because I was just so darned excited to pick it up. I'm not losing sleep over it since I can't even really see it in bright sun-light outdoors. It's inside with detail lights or LED that it shows up.
