OTA Map Updates

In the last week I’ve gotten two prompts about OTA map updates. Last brought me to 2018.2 and the prior was 2018.1. No evidence of anything being different. Anyone else?

I am busy downloading 2018-2 now.

I don't expect a massive difference.

No difference, at least in my map coverage/area on 2018-2.

My 2018 M4 got THREE in the last week. Not an exaggeration. It hadn't received a single one since the vehicle was picked up in April 2017.

My car still has 2018-2 and it was produced 9/2018. US spec car. anyone have newer version in US?

How does the OTA map update present to the driver? Does it all happen under the covers automatically or do you get a pop-up informing you there's updates available?

You get a pop up on the idrive.

Mine says 2018-4 but I'm in CA. Your area may have a different map update.

i am currently in Iceland but there is no maps for iceland, is it possible to get ota from here? my car was imported from sweden but they changed the sim card i guess cause everything works from internet and concierge services. thanks in advance

Drove to Dallas at Thanksgiving. Got two on the way up there, and one on the way back a few days later. Just purchased the car three weeks earlier.
