What parts needed to fix frontal crash
Hello everybody,
I am from Belgium but am working in Sweden for an extended time. I had an accident and the radiator, headlight covers and some other plastic bits are smashed, the bumper has not been damaged (). The car is insured in Belgium so if I want to get it fixed by the insurance I need to get it back there, however I still need it for a couple of months here and having it sent back would waste alot of time and would require a back and forth trip to get it. Since I am planning on going back in 5 months I would like to keep using it in the meanwhile. That is why I am exploring the possibility of partly fixing it myself, or at least putting the car in a state where I can drive it around without it breaking more. I would like to call on the community for some help determining what parts I need to do this, I have found some online diagrams but can not find everything I need. I have provided some more pictures, below you can find the specifications of the car: G31, 320dX, M sports packet. It has the chrome colored trimmings. The motor that controls the grill fins is broken in half, and on both headlights the lamp closest to the grille has broken off. Thanks in advance! |

I would go insurance. The headlights alone are probably in the vicinity of $4000USD!

Agreed. You're looking at $5000USD before they really find out what's wrong underneath all those broken parts. Depending on what is found it could easily go up by $$$$$$$$$

Buy some used headlights, make sure everything is operational and get it fixed in 5 months when you're back home.
Headlights are important, cooling and fluids are important, looks are less important. Good luck. |

Damn, now I'm kinda glad I didn't buy one with the ICON LED lights. $5k for headlights? Jesus.

Yea it is all covered under the insurance since it is a company car. It is just inconvenient to have it shipped to Belgium since I then need to travel by plane and drive it back to Sweden.
Also insurance companies (atleast here) are very slow, and it is december now so they are probably even slower now |
