2017 530i in for service and

This is my wife’s car and it’s a 3 year lease.

This car has 12k miles on it over 23 months.

It’s in because the AC was not blowing cold and they found an obstruction which Was removed and repaired. Most likely there since new but since it was on the passenger side she does not often sit there.

She got a call telling her they recommend a fuel system clean consisting of three chemicals added at the rail to remove build up caused by the oxygenated fuel.

Car idles perfectly and mpg is good. I’ll run a tank of Techron through it but do you guys go for this $250.00 service ? I can’t help but feel it’s BS. Am I wrong. I never did this in any of my Infiniti’s or Acura’s.

Thanks for the responses. I’ll admit I’m not all that up on bmw maintenance and requirements but how different can they be engine wise.

Thanks

Twelve miles in 23 months?
I would have gotten her an Uber and saved $20k

I'd ask if you don't do that service does it affect your lease return.

This should not be necessary. Are you using Top Tier fuel? If so, I think you are being scammed.

We use Mobil or BP 93 fuel 99% of the time. Because it’s local.
