Very confused as to difference bet. ACC and TJA
If I’m driving in commuter traffic and want the car to maintain a safe distance to the car ahead, even if it’s stop-and-go, do I use active cruise control, traffic jam assistant, or both?

On page 209 of the manual it says that lane keeping and traffic jam assist are turned on by pressing the button that looks like a little steering wheel between two lane markings. Active cruise control is a different button. Still confused!

For whatever it is worth, I think BMW ACC works great. |

I always thought TJA was essentially the act of activating both LKA and ACC when traveling at slower speed. At least, that's how I use it and it seems to work well for me.
About to leave the office and sit in traffic - I may try just the LKA button but then I think I'd still need to work the pedals on my own. When I activate both buttons, I can be both hands and feet off for quite some time. |

TJA requires both LKA and ACC to be active. It'll work up to the speed of 43mph. In those conditions it requires either lane markings or a vehicle in front for the car to follow. If both a vehicle and lane markings are present, car will prioritise the lane markings over following the vehicle in front.
