With the Fed announcing rate cut at the end of the month, hoping that August lease numbers will start to look much better.

OP can chime in but believe Aug programs won't be avail until Tuesday. Given it's mid quarter and Aug is a holiday month with no production really I'd imagine no changes till September at earliest.

Night blue interior only comes in Dakota (No nappa), check before you finalize

MF is marked up from buy rate of 0.00128, no mention of selling price.

Not much information to be sure.

Taxes and fees included in payment or paid up front? Is the $1500 a cap reduction or money up front for fees? Assuming loyalty since you mentioned rolling in payments and wear and tear forgiveness?

Regardless of anything, $640/month seems to be an okay payment for a $72k car. Your rolled in remaining payments essentially equal the money you're putting down on this lease (assuming the $1500 is a cap reduction) so I disregarded the down payment since there aren't any pull-ahead incentives for this car. I also assumed that you were paying some taxes and dealer fees up front. With the marked up money factor, it seems like the dealer is discounting your car roughly $7.5k before the $4.5k in incentives. Ask for the same deal with the base money factor, which should bring your payment down to the $610s. If you are not paying any taxes or fees up front, then it seems like you have a pretty fair deal either way.

I misquoted and so you guys are right, the MF is that .00128. And it's Dakota, not Nappa as I confirmed this morning. The $1500 is down payment so includes 1st month and taxes/fees and such...

I offered $620 with $1500 down and they've rejected it. They are holding firm at the $640 price which is all in with taxes and fees.

What do you think? Should I just wait until EOM or EOY?

For this MSRP you are not even getting nappa leather, to me that's a deal breaker for a 70k + vehicle. Dealers playing hard ball for whatever reason.

Look into MY2020, they just announced incentives for nov and I would think you can custom order a car for similar monthly assuming you don't need everything that's pushed to you on this $72k car.

No compromises on a custom order, likely $67-$69k car, find a good dealership for a competence price/monthly

Just found out it's .00148 and they refuse to give me the buy rate of .00128. Does that happen?

I'm in a similar position, about to put in an order on a 540xi and the dealer is quoting a MF of .00142, even though it is simple to calculate from the lease offer on the BMW website that the MF is .00128. In the past, I have been willing to accept a bump of .0001, but the dealer is claiming that .00142 is their buy rate and won't budge. Is there any validity to this, or do I need to shop around?

Also, are we sure about the $2000 loyalty incentive? The BMW site is showing $1000 for the 540xi, no matter which region I check.

Yes, marking up the money factor is a common thing for dealers to do. If they're unwilling to go down to 0.00128, there's not much you can do aside from ask for more discount.

So shopped this deal around other dealers both in-state and out-of-state and they are telling me to pull the trigger as they can't even come close to it. The local dealer from the initial presentment had to re-run the numbers due to some glitch but here's where we are:

2019 540i M-Sport (20" rims), Premium, Driver Asst Pkg, HK, MultiContour Seats, etc.
Bluestone Metallic w/Night Blue Dakota Leather

MSRP: $72,255
Discount (Loaner Miles of 2828): $65,977
Incentives & Add'l Discount: $5,250 + $3,400
RV: 59%
MF: .00148
Neg Equity: $1584 (3 remaining payments)
Down Payment: $2000
Miles: 12K
Months: 36
Payment (all-in): $643.95

What do you think of this now?
