G30 - Need help with taking off trim to get to head unit

Gents, anyone got any guides/videos that's helpful for taking off the trim so that I can access the head unit to install the WiFi antenna.

I started with the passenger side airbag controller cover trim but after taking off the two clips I couldn't go any further as I was worried I may pry it too hard and it would break a clip or worse yank the cable out of place.

I've rummaged through YouTube and didn't find any that was helpful.

I have managed to install the WiFi antenna but I don't see the option on Idrive menu which can only mean one of two things :

1) Needs coding in / activation
2) the WiFi antenna is the issue

Are you trying to retrofit the wifi hotspot? If so, it most definitely would require coding.

Yeah you most likely will need to code the headunit so it knows that the aerial is on there. What is your goal though, just to be able to connect via wifi to the headunit, or actually to have the HotSpot? If you are going for the actual hotspot, I would think it would be a bit more complicated as you would have to be able to connect to a mobile carrier to sign up for the service. Bimmercat.com also shows that vehicles with the hotspot (Option 6WD) usually have a different telematics control unit.
