So I just had the windows on my new car tinted today with LLumar Stratos 50% on all windows. VA requires 50% on front side windows and can have 35% on the rest.
So now I noticed that the back window has a strange headlight glare caused by the rear window defrosters. My son now tells me that that is common and his car does the same. He has LLumar Pinnacle.

Is this common and do you have the same issue with other brands? The guys did a great job installing but I wish I was warned ahead of time.

It's happened with all the cars I've had ceramic tinting on in the past, don't know if it's specific to ceramic though. You'll get used to it though and the benefits outweigh the negatives.

That is what my son said. That said then the guys at LA Tint did a great job. I didn't want the two tone look with side windows so I keep everything the same 50%. This LLumar Stratos tint has a 99.5 UV rejection value to protect that great leather. It's a multilayered film.

I just had my windows tinted as well. I also live in VA but chose to take the risk and go 35% front and back so it had the same look. I went with the 3M tint and they did a great job, however i have the same thing on the rear window. It gets a glare at each defrost line. Little annoying but I'm getting use to it slowly.

I added before and after pics.

I love the look but didn't want to chance it so I leave all the rear shades up all the time. Back shade helps with glare from lights. I used to drive all the time in my Benz with rear shade up. It can help with high beams from other cars.

You have great taste! Here's mine. I installed 3M Crystalline - 20% sides/back, 70% windshield, and 40% sunroof. It all looks great and blocks out all of the Texas heat. I get the same glare on the rear window as well.

You clearly have very good taste in vehicle choice and color. 😀

What did it cost for the 3m tint? I was quoted close to 430 and another 2-400 for the front windshield. So700-800 for all the glass

Mine cost me $1000 for the 3M Crystaline, but keep in mind I also tinted the sunroof. I've been very happy with mine.

Malruk that tint looks great, congrats! 👏 Is that 35% on all sides and back? Also, do you have sunshades, if so are they up in this picture? Thanks for posting! 👌🔥
