M5 exhaust for 2020 m550i

Curious to know if anyone has considered bolting a M5 exhaust to a 2020 m550i? I was comparing the parts and they are definitely different layouts, looks doable.

For the price this seems like a good option to get the same sound for way less than dinan.

I doubt the M550i downpipes will line up with an M5 exhaust. Just go aftermarket for the exhaust, think I only spent $3k for my AC Schnitzer catback.

Tbh the stock exhaust already sounds better than m5 if you remove the resonators, you should try that cheaply before dropping thousands

Like above post. Remove one or both the resonators , it's makes a world of difference. I have 2 on my 19 M550 (not sure if 2020 comes with only one like m850?)and I removed the rear resonator and it now pops on downshifts modestly , not annoying at all, and much more low down grunt when on the throttle. Was I want to say $190 to do. Personally I'd try that, I promised my fiancé I would not go mod crazy like on my M5. Lol but since May when I got it I've done spacers, paint correction/ ceramic coating, window tint, Dinan V2 and an evolve flash tune last month, so spending $3k on exhaust would have put me in dog house. I've been able to hide everything I did so far in the $4k I've spent modding this one
I have a problem......

How long have you been running the v2 dinan tune on your m550? Any issues at all? But I do agree my 21 m550i already pops and sounds good and loud but the M5 comp exhaust is perfect

I liked the dinan, was a to me what felt like 40hp and better throttle response. After a couple months and couple thousand miles I just wanted more and got the tune but. Went with Evolve's tune because of all the work I saw they did with M5's, as well as great YouTube videos documenting performance. Ran 11.8's with dinan and 11.4's with the tune. I'd recommend dinan if you want a little more or go real flash tune if you want the most out of your car. Only drawback with tune is your stick if any damage happens to engine.

The M550i sounds better than an M5. Just take out the resonators for a bit more volume / drama.
