Hi,

I assume a prerequisite is that CarPlay is already activated.

No, if your car hasn't activated CarPlay - you can also do it with FemtoEVO.
It can activate all features in HU_NBT2 - NBTevo, that can be activated with FSC.

Carplay fullscreen is availiable for cars with OEM (BMW Subscription) CarPlay too.

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry to ask again, but I'm new to coding. So what you mean is that it'll activate all features through VO coding, but that I still need to purchase a valid FSC from somewhere?

You can buy FSC on fscmap.com there is a lot of solutions for NBT and NBTevo.
They support 18-11 updated evo software, so all you will need is ENET cable.
Program will activate FSC and will code carplay automatically without E-sys.

It basically looks like a well developed software for FSC imports without needing the huge knowledge for coding and e-sys operation etc.
I would say its probably better option then USB .bin imports especially with 18-onwards ilevels now that the USB ports are blocked.

I would like to see some feedback tho? What happens if the I-levels are updated, is it the case that everything gets restored to factory?

Most probably, you will loose Carplay after iLevel update.
However, maybe the FSC codes could be re-imported, if the head-unit still allows them?
We have to ask support about this, just to be sure..

That is standard. All iStep updates will always erase all custom coding and CarPlay updates so keep your codes and software to re-code after updates.

Also pay close attention to compatibility as I've heard some iStep updates render coding software inoperable.

Using unofficial codes to activate Carplay affect the warranty?

Hello!
I have a BMW G31 from December 2017 that still has a warranty until December 2020.

If I use FemtoEVO or any other program/method to activate Carplay can I lose the warranty?

Possibly. Not worth the risk imo.

Should you need to go to visit BMW , you could easily load your original file and dealer will not know.

Carplay alone is definitely worth it. Its a must upgrade really!

If I already have carplay activated will I get the full screen when I update the map? Or do I still need to go through this method?
