G30 5 Series Active Sound

Speaking of artificial sound , I asked a guy who drove my i8 about his impressions on the car .He said the car was good aside from amplified artificial sound that piped thru the speakers

With the I8 and I3, it is two part. One is internal sound and another is pedestrian alert. Either way, I find artificial sound lacking.

Is there an easy way to find out if a UK spec 530d has active sound ? If it has it, will it only operate in Sport mode ? And if that's right, is it dependent on the "engine" setting if the car is in Sport Individual mode ?

Find someone with ASAP access to decode VIN. It will include options as as well hardware list. It operates in different drive modes, but will be most pronounced in Sport. I do not recall specifically if the 530d has ASD.

So I assume nobody know what a 550 sounds like with active sound OFF?

How did you make the flaps to be permanently open ? I have mine m550i in order with delivery in november .. The sound is good stock, but could be better..

Based on how quiet my 540i(no x) is, I would say that no, it is not used.
