I am currently in the market to order one M550i, but only managed to negotiate around 9% off the MSRP. In order to maximize savings, is anyone on this forum interested in placing an order with me. I am in CA.

9% is good from the dealer. You need BMW incentives to move above.

I am looking for a custom ordered M550i. A couple of dealers in Dallas I contacted were not very forthcoming with discounts. One dealer offered $3000 + $1000 but nothing near the 8-9% + discounts I am seeing posted here. Can you send the name of the dealers/sales persons providing these discounts to me.

I disagree - I would shop around more. I got 11% off of mine and it was custom ordered from germany, wasn't even sitting on the lot and that was without any BMW incentive. If I had owned a BMW already I would've gotten 12% with the loyalty incentive they offer. I bet you can negotiate 13%+ for an M550 that is already sitting on the lot..
