It's 1-2 weeks from status 150 to completion, so for a PW of this week, I'd have expected it to hit 150 by at least last week.

Granted, it may actually be there and the website just isn't updated.

It's Status 150. Supposed to be done this Thursday but Genius said it looks like it might be delayed a couple days.

Over the past few days my car has moved from In Production, to In the Body Shop, to in the Paint Booth, to The Assembly Line and is now sitting at Quality Control! It's getting there!

Yeah, They are pumping them out for holiday season approaching.

Mine as of today is showing at Port waiting to head outbound. Now the real anxiousness begins.

My 540i xDrive M-sport was ordered back in early june (!) but was on hold due to the individual paint. Eventually scheduled for PW40, and all finished and waiting to ship as of last last weekend. Turnaround time was crazy fast once they got going. Apparently with me in Scotland for PW43.

Congrats! Getting close to watching mine move through the line!

Did you see all the updates on the BMW website or were you calling Genius every day? I read that the website was getting faster, so would be great if it's actually updating every day (or multiple times a day) now.

So i ordered a 540i on 10/1. I have a PW47 slot. I wanted to add the parking assist package but was told it was too late because I have a IND Merino seats. Really wanted the 3d cameras. Thought I was getting them in the Premium package but apparently BMW now offers the PP2 and Parking Assist package as separate items. Same combined price as original but 3d cameras are only in parking package.
Does that sound right about being locked from changes already? I trust my CA but a week and a half later.

I mostly used the website. It updated several times a day! I did call genius a couple times but the website has been great!

Sorry I corrected it. I ordered a 540ix M sport. Your right i just noticed that I said 430 in a number of my post. Went back and fixed some.

Correct on both counts. BMW realigned the Premium package and Park Assist Plus maybe a month or so ago due to a 5DN shortage.

And with an individual order the config does lock a few weeks before production actually begins.

I learned tonight from the Genius folks that my allocation slot was accepted by AG on 9/7, long before I ordered on 10/1. What my dealer did was take one of their allocations and reconfig for my options. So my tentative PW is 44-47. They said call on Monday. Good CA as they were trying to speed up my build. I might try again but I might be a victim of very good intentions. Lol

Checked my PW45 build this morning and the website is showing it has started production!

Seems early for PW45 (not that I'm complaining), so I need to call the Genius later and see exactly where things are. Or maybe indiv. paint causes a longer build time?

A ship must have just loaded n left as my car showed at port for only 48 hours and as of today now shows in-transit. Guess its time to call Genius and see what vessel I am on. I was expecting a late Nov/Early Dec delivery to the WC but looks like it will be an early/mid Nov delivery.

Started production this morning!

This was my originally scheduled production week, however for the past 3 weeks Genius kept telling me it was switched to PW46. Glad they were wrong.

Tried to check the VIN, but it is not showing up on the online checkers. Anyone know how long it takes before the VIN can be searched?

Once production completes, and they bring the car "to life" so to speak.

I actually was about to ask the same question. Good to know.

Though now I'm imaging a Dr. Frankenstein-style ceremony where G30s roll off the line and are zapped with an electric coil in order to produce that first exhaust rumble!

The decoders show my car with a 9/14 production date, which was a Friday.

I believe the decoders started finding it over that weekend, definitely by Monday.
