Will BMW Offer Power Upgrade to 19 M550i?

Anyone out there have any thoughts on whether there will be an upgrade package from the factory for those of us with a 2019 who feel robbed because they bumped output on the 2020 models?

Does BMW have a history of offering packages like this?

It's my understanding that it's simply a software change.

I really doubt it.

The engine was also changed enough to warrant a new designation (TU3), where engine in 2019 is TU2.

just get the Dinan tune so you have them mirror BMW's warranty. It should put it up there close to the 2020 model.

My dealer had said early Dinan tunes were throwing CEL. Have you guys had that problem or is it resolved?

Did you also do the exhaust?

Not happening

No history (in other words, wishful thinking)

N63B44T3 has quite a few changes for 2020. Call it progress.

Really curious to see what a Dinan tuned 2020 M550i will do.

Heard 0-60 time is 3.3 stock

I doubt that, isn't that what the F90 M5's and M8's do it in with underrated 625hp "officially"? I'd think 3.6ish would be published numbers with new engine

2.8 is the m5s time. 3.3 is believable based off that.

That's the car and driver time. They tend to be optimistic. Real world not prepped track conditions will likely be higher.

Took delivery of my 2020 M550 three weeks ago. I called Dinan two weeks ago and they told me that they intend to have the new tune ready this Spring! I'm all over this!

They did not offer up any expectations, but I would hope we're talking 600+hp
