Need help! Buying 2017 G30 B58
Guys, I currently own a F30-N55 stage 2 custom tuned, clean car, absolutely fun. I am moving to 2017 540i xDrive. I know it will be about 500-700lbs heavier than what I drive currently so there are pros/cons to each their own.
First of all, are there major engine differences when it comes to MY 2017/2018? What am I going to miss or gain once I make this change from F30 to G30? What about the tuning, reliability, etc? Give me like goods and bad or comparisons since most of you either made similar switches or you guys drive a RWD/xDrive and have feedback or suggestions? I have shortlisted couple but check this one out, sticker is $83k, tell me if it's too expensive or what should I offer for this car? Must have - xDrive, HK sound or BW, 360 Cameras, Adaptive Icon LED Nice haves but not deal breakers - Adaptive suspension, heated/cooled seats, M-sport, Adaptive cruise control Link to the car - https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=277238630 This car checks ALL of the must have and nice haves lol

Any concerns that you'd be the third owner in less than 24k miles?
I'm guessing it was a lease turn in purchased by buyer #2? |

First owner put like 9400 miles and sold as BMW CPO Shows: Auto Auction - listed as a manufacturer vehicle Damage reported around 17k miles but Title is still clean Repaint front bumper, repair 2 wheels and apply touch up I've hit a deer in my F30 and got new hood, bumper, lights, grills, oil cooler so it seems something like a fender bender

This vehicle has a Bowers & Wilkins, Luxury Seating pack, MSport Brakes, Executive pack, Parking pack, and ceramic controls- very nice options that you don't typically see included on your average lot car. This vehicle was pretty much loaded with all the boxes ticked except for maybe the rear seat entertainment, rear wheel steering, and spare tire.
The negatives are you're not getting a CPO 2-year warranty, and the previous damage report. But you would probably pay north of 40K for a CPO. As far as the options, you would be hard pressed to find better. Mileage is ok. Price is not too bad considering the options list. If you like the Med Blue over Mocha Nappa you should probably pull the trigger.

That is normally true but notice it says "Auto Auction--Listed as a manufacturer vehicle". That could mean it was a BMW owned car sold at a BMW only auction and originally used by executives or regional reps, often called "Brass Hat" cars. They are often bought and CPO'd by dealers. The accident damage seems to be after the auction sale so that that is likely a separate matter. --Bob

I find this strange if it is a widespread issue. I cam from a 2012 F30 (n20) and always thoguht the AC sucked. When I upgraded to the '17 G30 (b58), I have been very impressed with the AC.
