Looking to add a dash cam to my 2018 M550 - What do you guys recommend?

blackvue dr900x 2CH on mine, could be better software designed but am pretty happy with the footage provided in both front and rear cam

Did you have it hardwired in? Not sure how much visual I will see with the rear glass tinted dark

Does anyone have a grille mounted (actually under the grill) mounted cam- I hate the aesthetic of having a giant cam in the windshield- rather have it mounted in the front- just like the BMW parking camera.

I bought this yesterday. 4K quality and going to give it a try. I like the oem look it provides. I'll let you guys know how good it is when I get it

That set up looks almost like it came from the factory once it's installed if you actually buy this and install it can you please respond back with a write up and some photos of how it looks and give us your honest feedback as to how it performs like many other people I'd like a dash cam but I don't want some ugly camera mounted up in my windshield that one looks very stealth.

Finally got mine guys. I'm going to be honest, the install was a pain. I'll show some vids when I'm ready to do an upload. Need to do my own testing on it. So far I love it based on the fact it looks OEM.

Can you post some photos of how it looks on the car? Where does the memory card go? Can you take the card out without having to completely disassemble the unit?

I'm actually very happy with it. Using vlc player I am able to zoom in on incoming cars with no problem which is what I want. I compared it to other 4K videos out there and it's comparable. I would highly recommend it for the prince and the oem feel of it.

I like the native look of that I will say. Especially considering I'm not as good about opening up my trim and need to fix my hardwiring.

That being said. I went with hardwiring my BlackVue dash cam to a switched fuse as a lot of posts I read at the time suggested that mirror tapping on the G30 is a bad idea. As the computers can get a bit upset if they detect voltages on the line that are out of spec. Are you having any issues with that?

Computers getting upset in what way? I have not have any problem with it so far. I have checked using BimmerCode for faults and nothing really shows up. Overall I'm happy with it.
