2018 530e JB+ and Intake

Installed a JB+ and an intake on my 530e and very pleased with the results. Totally woke up the vehicle and is great to drive. I usually commute mostly all electric but its so fun to enjoy the car and drive it now and again as I wish.

How does car react when transitioning from electric drive to the engine?
Does it stay smooth or jerky?

The 530e naturally is very very smooth in transition. Amazingly so. Stock or modified it is impressive. It does help having the electric motor placed between the engine and trans. If driving normal you have no idea when it goes to gas unless driving hard.

The JB+ more so acts like an overcast function for the engine only. In all electric there is no difference. In auto it is great it really feels much better than before. Much more torque and response.

Yes, I agree with you.
I got a 530e as a loaner once and it drives very well stock.
I would guess that the electric to a tuned gas engine transition may have some hick up since the tuned gas engine may pull harder than stock during transition.

But, I guess it is not, since you have a simple tune to it and it is working perfectly fine as you mentioned.
