Parking Assist Malfunction
On my 2018 I just got this message and the Parking Assist button won’t remain on, but I can turn it on and after a while it will go out. I pulled into my garage and sensors were working. A software glitch? Anyone else experience this issue?

The ‘I got the message’ was in reference the heading title. Could not capture the heads up display message - just said parking assist malfunction after starting the car and putting in reverse. After RTFM it states under low speed conditions the PA will turn on and after a certain higher speed it will turn off. Anyway, has not happened since.

Cameras generally stay on when the speeds are under 20mph and looking a parking space. Not sure for how long as I would usually find a parking slot few mins from activating the PA.
I've noticed the cameras behave slightly differently when they come on with the reverse gear. Either way, this info probably doesn't help as yours is giving you an error message. Worth taking to the dealer? |
