Traffic can mostly be avoided after you realize from which direction you need to approach the track. I'll keep that quiet, since every year people don't seem to catch on.
This was my first time going, so I just relied on Waze. Huge mistake apparently.

Now that 1000% agree with. I was shocked with the whole port a pottys! How could one build a venue like this but forget the bathrooms????

I kept walking up to turn 1 to use real facilities. complete fail!

When you put it all in one place it seems surreal.
so MK, I've been waiting and waiting for you to use the replacement for "Lewi5" so that I can use it.

also, I'm finally ready to accept that there is a new GOAT.

I appreciate your acceptance. Trust me...it was difficult for me to accept, as well. The relentless speed, the tire and fuel management, race craft and ability to extract every bit of performance from the car by Lewi6 is absolutely amazing!!

There it is...Lewi6!!

Sorry you had a rough time, mate. I had a great time, as did everyone around me. COTA Club. Unlimited drinks and food, private bathrooms, guest speakers, shuttles, etc. Yes, you have to pay more, but that will address all of the complaints you mentioned. There's also the Paddock Club, Turn 17 Owner's Club, and Skyboxes.

Yeah if I had to do it over, I would go with one of the VIP packages. Being my first time in Austin, I wanted to switch seats Fri/Sat/Sun to get different perspectives of the track, and I dont remember the VIP packages having that option. I did enjoy all of the places I sat (turn 1, main grandstand and turn 15).

Yep, the main grandstand was totally overwhelmed, though, and that was on Saturday for qualifying. The food and drink lines, and bathrooms took FOREVER. I just can't figure out how/why they designed the place so poorly.

I got a survey today about my experience at the track, and the results were not good for them. It seems like the survey came from F1, not COTA, but it wasn't totally clear.

I ran into so many staff who were just totally confused and embarrassed by what was going on.

I remember standing in a "shuttle" line with 50 other people and the old lady working just kept telling us "be patient, it's coming." After 15 minutes, another COTA worker came over and scolded us (the patrons) about how there is no shuttle and we needed to start walking. That didn't turn out well for him. Several people got unruly real fast!

Exactly. He has already matched MSCs WDC count at Ferrari and exceeded the consecutive WCC. Huge achievements but so many say it's only the car and pure luck. It's really sad. We are living in a very important historical part of Formula One and some fans are missing it because of their hatred and bias. It's really a shame.

Cheers-mk
