Race Chip GTS

Recently viewed a YouTube video where a 2020 M550i was dynoed stock and then immediately after installation of a Race Chip Black GTS.
530 stock and 593 after RC.
Is this 63 HP gain as expected?

It's certainly possible but why not get a proper flash tune or JB4 instead ?

JB4 does everything a Racechip can do and more for a similar price.

DME, JB4, RK etc. are 100+, so I would say it’s a very achievable and probably on the conservative side.

It's not even a matter of price either. Racechip just applies a uniform +2.5psi or something bump or does a bump based on absolute pressure but in a simple if boost measured = x, return x * y to ECU so ECU will keep wastegate closed.

JB4 does the "same" thing, but it has extra safety protocols which check what rpm the engine's at, whether the engine is up to temp, etc. to vary how much it is tricking the ECU to prevent issues. That's why JB4 is able to add more boost than racechip, because racechip doesn't have these safety checks in place, it can't apply as much additional boost.

JB4 also has logging capabilities that the racechip doesn't.

We're talking about like a 100 or 200usd difference in price but the extra safety measures alone are worth that extra money let alone the additional performance/logging abilities.
