Question BMW G11 7-Series Wheels on G30 5-Series Fitment Question

Hello, a friend of mine is selling a set of genuine 21 inch BMW 7-Series wheels (Style 650M). The tire size I believe is 245-35 R21. My 2018 530e comes with 19 inch wheels with 245-40 R19 tires. I'm wondering if I can get away with installing the tire and rim combo without rubbing issues.

Here is an image of the wheels:

Please let me know if anyone has tried fitting 7-Series wheels on their 5-Series. The bolt pattern is the same, the offsets are within a reasonable measure.

Thanks!

Thanks a bunch for your reply Norris. Your 540i looks great and congratulations on the new M550i.

I will be installing the 21 inch 7 series wheel in summer.

I also got my hands on a set of used M550i M sport brakes. Based on my research, the 530e is offered with M sport brakes, but they're not the same size (different part numbers) to the standard M sport brakes offered on M550i (they have bigger rotors). No idea about the M sport brakes in the 540i or if the ones you got were from another 540i.

How was the swap? I reckon it was a direct bolt on, what do you think about M550i brakes in a 530e? Do you think they will fit without any modifications?

Finally, did you swap the calipers yourself? Did you end up buying new pads and rotors or used existing ones from the previous set up. OEM or aftermarket, and cost?

Sorry, I know these are a lot of questions and I'm glad I saw your post.

Looking forward to your response,

Cheers!

Thank you! Please post pictures once you put the bigger brakes on and the wheels
The 540i m sport brakes and M550i are the same upfront with 374mm rotors. The front m sport brakes on 530i are 348mm I think, I'm not sure about the 530e. All the 5 series 530i/540i/m550i come with 345mm rear rotors m sport brakes have blue calipers and different pad compound. The brakes were installed at a shop but I watched the tech do all the work. I re-used the old parts that came from the m550i that I had bought on my 540i. No modifications needed. Everything is straight forward.

Did you mount the brakes and tires on your car yet?
I wanted to see pictures of those 650M style wheels on a G30.

Hey Norris. Car is at the shop, has been for sometime now. I have opted to not change the brakes as the dealer just installed a brand new set of pads and rotors (for standard brakes). I may still change them down the road or just sell them. The wheels on the other hand are ready to go. I have another set I intend on trying. The 650m wheels first then 649i wheels. If the 650m is too much of a compromise then I have a set of polished 649i 20 inch wheels that will be my summer set.

Sorry for the wait. I see there are no picture of 650m wheels on a G30 online.
