Porsche really knows how to design beautiful, knock out designs over and over for decades. Other than the 996, I cant think of one other design I do not like, ever. Too bad those powers that be at BMW dont understand this philosophy and thinks “bold” in your face follow the pack design is what people want.
That safari has been recently spotted on the Ring so wonder if it’ll make a rallye appearance one day. Luv the 904LL and would much rather this design than the 718 tbh as its classic but unique, and modern at the same time...and the Vision Spyder looks like a modern day 914. Would luv them to add another model to the line up, they have the blueprints ready. |

aluminum body cars aren't anything special in 2020, but they do tend to dent easily. Kevlar? Um...I think we can do better than that.

I'd think that modern CF would be much better than Kevlar from the 80s. CF should be a better fit for body panels. It's very repairable, light, stiff, etc. Most people weren't messing with CF much in the 80s and 90s because the technology wasn't there yet/accessible and fiberglass/kevlar type panels and composites were far more common. Aluminum body panels is another way to save weight, but they dent easily (see my WRX). Modern CF using UD layups is extremely strong for the weight.
