I should never have doubted other feedback, the Night Blue upholstery is simply beautiful, and does not clash with the black. It is much darker than I thought and blends wonderfully with the rest...

Pics will follow once I've downloaded them.... first impressions compared to F10

- MUCH quieter, no road noise, or engine noise to talk of
- MUCH smoother, a class ahead than the F10, it glides
- The Bluestone metallic is beaetiful, even with Night Blue upholstery
- Noticably bigger inside (I am 6'4"), I can sit in back and front with more space
- Screen is excellent, quick and smooth and intelligent/intuitive
- Adaptive mode with VDC/DDC is special, never had it, but it is like a totally different car
- The standard M Sport rims 662M are much better than the ones on the configurator, stunning
- Pirelli's all round, lovely
- Steering is smoother, still need to adjust to it compared to F10
- Brakes feel different, softer press to start with
- No DRL's at back when lights are in AUTO Mode, please help with a solution !

More later once I get some fuel in and go for a burn
Can you do me a favor and drive on the motorway when it's light and the car is clean and do about 120 km/h or faster and have a look a the hood in front of your windscreen. On my car it vibrates a lot which annoys me, I asked another guy but he had a dark g30 and didn't see this. Want to know if it has to do with the color or my hood., thanks!

Just a point, but I guess it's not it. If you have opened the bonnet, really make sure it's closed solidly on BOTH sides. I noticed that one side was slightly up, and sensors did not bleep. A firm push closed it all the way.

It needs 2 separate clicks. I am driving up to Oxford today from London and will triple check and gopro it 😁

Didn't video it, but I drove 80mph on motorway for a couple of hours and bonnet looks quite still.

The current bonnets have a different technique to close them compared to the old ones

This is the best way, though this tech does slam it a little harder than needed

Thanks very much. I think the blue is nice. My problem is getting to like the blue with black contrast, it just clashes too much. Anyway I got told today BMW can't change it without delaying production. And I can't do that, it would put it into April and that means my car would get hit with the new UK road tax rules which are utter crap
did you get the car yet??

I will post more this evening, I took dozens of new pictures yesterday to try and capture the point, some are in below album. The pictures still do not do the colours justice... it is much better than the pictures convey... I'll get the DSLR out and do it properly over the weekend

Please see album at this link: https://goo.gl/photos/vkEL8aVLf88r5rRv8
Congratulations!

Am intrigued by the rhombicle trim too. Do you like it? I'm usually not a fan of aluminum (I'm a carbon fibre whore) but that looks nice from what I can tell.

I had a test drive with Rhombicle alu and it felt a bit cheaper (but not that much as the alu in 3er/4er) than wood or piano ones..

I must say on the pics the spec is not that nice.. But when I seen it in saloon it looks rly rly rly good.

It's really good spec for guys who like black interior and by this they can make it more special..

I'm toying with the blue as an alternative to the cognac. I've currently got some beige interior in my merc and can't face going bog standard black. Really appreciate you adding the pics

Seems to remind me of a plum leather interior I had in a previous Golf VR6 Highline - the good old days

That's very nice , I must say color of the leather upholstery and the exterior color of your car match very brilliantly , striking
