Navigation Greyed Out

Good day I am new just lerning and done mistake and lost all sat nav. System ask activation code. Realy needed help.

Car left factory with NBT (NEXT) not NBT2 EVO ID5. If you have ID5, it was retrofitted. First, need to ready ECU List with E-Sys and determine if it has HU_NBT or HU_NBT2 showing.

Ok, where do I download that from? Judy Google it?

I have an adapter and BimmerCode and BimmerLink apps. Will I be able to find the ECU list on that ?

The navigation is greyed out on my BMW 420i 2017 F32, and other features such as voice control, saving radio stations etc. Any ideas?

Account is too new to send reply by PM lol.
So I bought the car from a dealer 3 years ago, no modifications done the car, iDrive or nothing. It is still in the same state as when I bought it, so no aftermarket CarPlay or nothing. It still has the same iDrive system as when I bought it but cannot go into navigation settings to check the version as it is greyed out. I believe it is Evo ID5 from a Google search of what that looks like. Hope that helps.

I updated my 2009 E93 software as it was throwing error messages on engine misfiring and I had a rough idle. I had trouble with it nearly for a week as the updates didn't go through and stopped on Navigation. After multiple updates my CIC stopped responding and I ended up with a black screen. Yesterday I installed a new CIC, everything updated despite navi is still greyed out, engine works fine now. Reading here I most probably need to check/update FSC.VIN P187579
P.S: I joined today so probaly PM is not working yet

Hello. I have a problem with the motion map update: I bought the code on ebay, inserted the stick in the glove box, entered the code and immediately after entering the code it restarted. During this time I started driving the car (knowing that it is done on the go). After 20 minutes it had not passed "navigation system starting". I decided to do a force restart, I removed the stick but after starting it told me to insert the stick with the map in place. I inserted the stick but it didn't do anything. After another restart, navigation is inactive and the message "Function not available" appears. The update I wanted to do was Motion est 2023.

What can I do now?

If FSC Code was accepted, the issue if either the USB Drive itself, or the Map Data you are using.

After i entered the code the system restarted. But, after restart, the progres would not start because it showed - ”Starting navigation system” for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, i remove usb, force restart and asked me to plug in the usb. I pluged it in but after this it would not do anything. Only showing ”Function currently not available” and do nothing. I pluged in another usb, different size, different brand, fat32 formatted with a different edition - west 2023 - and still do nothing.
