Bimmercode Headunit
Hello,
I am new to coding my 2017 BMW 530i and for some reason when I’m trying to get into the Headunit tab, it’s not allowing me. I am from Toronto, Canada. Can someone please help? I’m looking to do a few things, like making Apple Car Play full screen. Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you |

I had a similar issue on my G12, and it was because the BT ODB reader that I use was not supported by Bimmercode for some functions.
So you may want to start there.

I tried a new adapter. OBDLinkCX, I still can’t get into the Headunit tab.
Basically I just want to make CarPlay full screen lol. Not sure what it is. Do I have to update software? Does it have to do something with my Apple CarPlay? Every video tutorial I watch, everyone gets into the Headunit tab easily in Bimmercode. |

This OBD adaptor is what I now use and it's never let me down. MHD has a new OBD adapter as well that has good reviews.

What are you seeing when you try to go into the HU tab? Is it an error message or what is happening exactly?

When you get that message, try going to the bottom and click activation codes. I had an issue where some activation codes showed 'rejected' and I believe it would not let me code anything in the HU because of that. Might be worth checking to see if it's a similar issue.
