Minor issue here but wondering if someone can chime in on what the issue might be.

The date and time are correct on my 2018 BMW 530e. However, if I send navigation directions to my BMW at 2pm it will always display the incorrect time that the directions were sent in the messages app on iDrive.

For example: I'll send the directions at 2pm and get in the car at 2:15pm … but in the notifications/messages app on iDrive it will say that the directions were sent via the My BMW app at 5:30pm.

Not a major issue, really - but does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?

is your time zone set correctly in idrive? that's the only thing that comes to mind

I thought of that but it wouldn't account for the 15 minute differential

It could account for a 15 minute differential due to some time zones being in 1 hour increments, some are in 30 minute increments and some are in 45 minute increments.

The zones with a 45 minute increment “could” account for your 15 minute difference…so it is worth checking both your phone and car to see what time zone they are in. I’m not declaring its what your issue is…but it would be worth checking.

You can see in the pic below of a world time clock chart of 356 popular cities…taken at the half hour (it was 12:30 pm where I am)…that the cities circled in green are in a 45 minute increment, and the ones circled in red are in a 30 minute increment:

LOL …it made me reach way back in the dusty corners of my memory…when your wrote 15 minute differential…it stirred up some dust in the far reaches of my mind…which made me do a quick internet search to verify what I was thinking.
