Hi, what case does everyone use on their iPhone 14 pro max that fits on the wireless charging pad?

Otterbox. Our iPhones charge just fine through basic Otterbox cases.

I've got the iPhone 14 Pro Max too! Currently rocking a thin, silicone case. Perfect fit for wireless charging pads – no need to hassle with taking it off. I found it on case-face.co.uk/, and it's been a game-changer for my charging routine. Happy charging!

Believe it or not, the new 15 Pro Max fits in the tray with a normal apple case on it. Very tight, but it fits. I was hell bent on getting my 13PM to fit when I got the car and tried those thin cases. Way too slippery with no grip. I would be dropping it a lot and even though it fit with those paper thin cases, it fit tight. PIA to get in and out.

Wireless charging pad is slow, useless and makes your phone hot enough to fry an egg. Something BMW just got wrong. There is always something they get wrong.

Personally, I found that any case on my iPhone 15 Pro Max was a poor fit for the charging pad…no matter how thin. Too bad the engineers did not figure in additional case size. I decided to buy a nice leather pouch to protect my phone, but easy way to pull from pouch and slide naked phone in tray.
Works like a charm!

I’ve got one of the new linen apple cases on my 15PM and it was a total accident I discovered it fit. The phone slid down there and started charging. It’s tight, but normal case on any of my prior Max’s was a non starter.

That said, I don’t use the pad. If I do need a charge, I have a USB-C setup for a super fast charge.

I use the charging pad on rare occasions as well. I like the fact that CarPlay has full functionality wirelessly. I was pleasantly surprised to find my Escort Redline C app was available on CarPlay and fully functional wirelessly.

The last time I used the pad was for the BMW digital key feature.

Yeah, the digital key, whether it be the phone or the card, is a whole other story.

It’s cool and all, but it’s so much easier to keep the FOB in your pocket rather hold your phone to the door to unlock it or put it in the tray to start it.

Wireless CarPlay definitely is a game changer. I’ve had wired in other cars. So nice to not plug in.
