Non Run Flat Tires
I just ordered my 540xi with option 24W. "Non run flat tires and included spare". They are finally listening to their drivers. went through 3 run flat tires on my 535 at $400 a piece.

Maybe you could ask your SA if he can verify the implementation of the spare?

But I would like to understand a bit better. When you say the wheel, tool holder, etc. get "inserted", I presume that you're saying that they get inserted above the normal floor and not under the normal floor? If that's the case, then the trunk/boot space is reduced, right?

There is nothing under the normal floor but the road. The regular trunk mat is not fitted as far as I know. The wheel holder and storage compartments are fitted and a new opening trunk mat is fitted ontop of them So you loose some trunk space where the wheel is, but gain the storage compartments. So if you like hiding smaller items under the trunk flooring, its a bonus

Thanks, you are giving me more info than the dealer. I hate Run Flats, so either way I was going the Non runflat route. If I have problems with regular tires, I can always throw runflats on.
