Those "flares" on the hood are huge. Didn't notice that before.

not quite, it is an entirely new model. 200+ lbs lighter than the f10, with (supposedly) better handling characteristics, which I can't wait for. I replaced my beloved e60 550 with an f10, and the f10 doesn't really compare handling wise. I sincerely hope bmw listens to the enthusiasts and makes the new msport handle like it should.

I am also very happy that the actual msport car, shown here in camouflage, has the shadow line trim. meaning it doesn't have the horrific chrome trim the renderings had, chrome is disgusting

it may be the angle of the new pics but the hood looks different, more contoured, than previous mules.. I like it.

The striped vents in the front spoiler has an Alpina look to them.

Should we give the car a chance without camo before you say you see no need to upgrade?

It's look very classy and elegant, more so than sporty. 13.10 is close, next Friday in fact, can't wait!

3 things that will make me dump my f10 in a heartbeat:
1) active roll stabilization standard with sport and m sport package (like my e60s had)
2) the return of the active side bolsters option, which my e60 550 had but seems unavailable in the f10
3) thigh support extensions on sports and m sport by default. stupid this wasn't standard on all f10 sport/m sports like it was on the e39 and e60

I really don't like standard front bumper, way too much plastic vents and empty space. It looks like "mouth" of the car has been stretched with two fingers from each side
It has the same problem as basic 4 series. This however changes if you put Sport, Luxury or M Sport package on it but without it it looks dull and plain.
My opinion is that BMW should never look dull, regardless of the equipment you put on it.

This was due to the dynamic dampers, this combination called DHP sucked @ss and had zero resemblance to the awesome ZSP suspension on the E60. One of the best setups I had on any car where ARS kept the car flat in the corners as it is supposed to, the beefy E60 progressive damper/spring combination eliminated any of the F10 DHP float when ARS reduced roll bar resistance going straight. Two totally different results with ARS. One sucked one was great.

Yea. The F10 has it too, in the exact same position. I like it. Better than MB placement.

In a teaser video the M sport bumper seems to be revealed.
