The side badges are bad, but the fake metal plastic side flare vents below them are even worse. /delete those ASAP.

maybe when you come round to ordering you can put in a request to the factory to not put them on. no cost option?
or perhaps some dental floss and it will come off without too much effort?

The vents are functional, so cannot be deleted.
The badges didnt go on US with the F10 and F30 so probably wont on the G30

So glad the broken hood line is gone.
Dont mind the plastic buttons. Not a fan of chromed-plastic anywhere. The silver trim in the steeting wheel, the fender vent cap, window trim, should all be black. Unpainted soul-patch between the kidney grilles is odd. Some of the wheels are a little flashy-Kia looking. Very light cosmetic preference changes only. Overall really like it. Hope it doesn't drive like a muscle-pig.

Just already missing the standard dashboard. Don't understand why they are not offering it, since it was one of the most beautiful and most recognizable dashboards on the market.

Car looks great overall. Two things I'm not liking are:

1. Door panels with bulging map pockets. This was so annoying and ugly on my F30. Plus this design makes it much easier to accidentally damage the panel material.

2. The hockey stick. I guess I need to see the car in person to decide, but it looks so out of place in some of the pics.

I got to see the new G30 in person today, and I must say I'm very happy with how it looks. It's a very nice evolution of the F10, and if it drives more like a 3-series than the F10 does it'll be awesome.

You just downgraded the f10 to a lower class (can't begin to pronounce it) had a a 3 in it......

There is no "Hockey Stick"

I dislike the plastic paddles and plastic feel from behind. What is the extra button at the bottom?

I also prefer the DA+ and HUD toggle switches below the lighting knob on the F10. I do not like the central toggle, which replaced unlock button, forcing user to cycle through each function.

F15 has Front camera and is all one color, except black lens.

I agree. They got rid of the useless plastic sidemarkers and put a tacky ///M sticker in its place.

I do not mind the ///M on the wheels, but would equally be fine without them.

I like my ceramic, physical dials. It is much easier to make no-look selections.

Me either. I would just like the M-sport F10 wheels in a gunmetal finish.

The vents have negligible function, but they definitely do not need to be highlighted with different color accent. Even though it is not a "full stick" like the G12, the line of sight still sees the same outline.

Good eye! However, on the G30, it's an additional RADAR unit that has to do with the more autonomous driving capabilities they're introducing in the G30, previously unseen in the other 2016/7 BMW models.

So that is different than the ACC sensor on the lower, center, grill air intake?

Apparently so. My 2014 F10 has that RADAR unit in that exact position, and it's done pretty well the past 2-3 years. But looks like they've found a need to have additional sensors as part of their almost full autonomous driving tech.

If I recall correctly, the press note said that the G30 decked out was capable of seeing two cars ahead, as well as tracking cars in different lanes ahead. So one sensor may not have been enough.

Agree with the need to blend the side "hockey stick" vents in, but the vents really do have a critical function in reducing aerodynamic drag. You can't get a drag coefficient of 0.2 without those vents. That's why they're expanding those vents across the BMW lineup, including M cars. A lot of other car manufacturers are implementing it too.

I'm afraid the vents are here to stay. But they should have the option though of removing that vent for those who don't want it.

Makes sense. My '16 F10 has ACC+, but the G30 will have stereo cameras behind rearview mirror like the G12.

As you say vents are fundamental in getting excellent aerodynamics, getting gains in fuel efficiency. That would mean a different EPA rating. Simply for a 'delete vents' option.

I agree. Why paint them a different color? Depending on the paint of a 4 series, they either match or not.
