Standard vs. Multi-Contour Seats?

I'm assuming all of the press release photos are of the multi-contour seats...anyone have a pic of the "standard" G30 seat???

Just curious to see if they are visually that different from one another, in the same way the f10 seats are.

Honestly, press release pictures of car interiors are pretty much meaningless. They are all edited and taken with perfect lighting etc. Basically you have to sit in a car to be able to feel how the interior is like.

Yes pretty much all interior pics of the 5 are now of multi contour nappa leather seats, which I don't expect to see in any 5 series on dealer lots (except 550's).

The standard seats don't look too bad at all...not nearly as basic as the f10 seats.

The sport seats also look amazing, hopefully they're as comfortable as they look!

The F10 didn't come with m-sport seats in the US, and I assume it'll be the same with the G30.

You're right, the g30 will indeed get sport seats (481) as standard now, so no more standard basic seats for the US.

I can see them offering Sensatec on the 530i, but nothing above that. I would love to see the 540i and M550i both get standard Nappa with optional Merino (non-individual).

Different seats in sport edition and msport package?

I have msport seats in one of my F11s and comfort seats in the other. Comfort seats take too much space from the back seat so I am going back to msport. And the electrical addons for the seats take up foot space for the back seat so I am not going to have electrical adjustment added

No, you get the same sport seats (option code 481) with both the sport line and m-sport package. The non-leather upholstery will not be the same though.

And it looks like the G30 sport seats will get adjustable side bolster, and that's the only thing I missed about the F10 sport seats.

Is there any way to got the cloth/alcantara sport seats in the US?

I don't have any experience with the new 5er but in the X5, at least, it makes a huge difference. Multi-contour seats are very thick, supportive, comfortable, and make you feel very safe.
