my order was $70,600 before bargaining price. Options add up quickly and they charging for options that were standard or included in options of 2016 5 series.

Makes no sense to go with turbo 4 when you get a much better engine for $3800. If you can't afford the 6 cyclinder, then order a bmw 340.

Read somewhere that ceramic controls on g30 doesn't include the gear selector as in the F10, so it's only the dash knobs and iDrive controller. That's a lot of money for potentially four knobs. Can anyone confirm that?

So according to this configurator we can spec the 20" wheels regardless whether we get M sport package or luxury package. That's interesting..

Parts system says it includes the gear selector

When I looked at a new 5er this weekend, I asked my SA about how BMW implements the spare tire option since the car's trunk floor does not lift (there's no compartment underneath). The SA was unsure, but he said that he presumed they'll implement it "the same way they do in the 7." He said that in the 7, if you order a spare the trunk floor is built up, creating a space for the spare under the floor, but also reducing trunk space. If true, there's a trade-off to get the spare.

Maybe you could ask your SA if he can verify the implementation of the spare?

A wheel and tool holder gets inserted with storage compartments aswell as a new opening floor cover

E90 - you're working overtime these days . . . and we're all appreciative!

But I would like to understand a bit better. When you say the wheel, tool holder, etc. get "inserted", I presume that you're saying that they get inserted above the normal floor and not under the normal floor? If that's the case, then the trunk/boot space is reduced, right?

salesman said It will most likely be built up. He said I am first to order spare. I went through 3 run flats on my current car (nail and 2 warped sidewalls). $400 a piece, I will sacrifice trunk plus ride quieter.

The trunk space is reduced since there is no free space to put the wheel.
There is nothing under the normal floor but the road.

The regular trunk mat is not fitted as far as I know.
The wheel holder and storage compartments are fitted and a new opening trunk mat is fitted ontop of them

So you loose some trunk space where the wheel is, but gain the storage compartments.

So if you like hiding smaller items under the trunk flooring, its a bonus

The emergency spare is either a Continental or Maxxis 135/80/18 emergency wheel

Thanks, you are giving me more info than the dealer. I hate Run Flats, so either way I was going the Non runflat route. If I have problems with regular tires, I can always throw runflats on.

Reasonable trade-off.
