Yep I have the black grilles and the active grilles work the same. I don't think the entire grille is changed on this model just the outer trim. I can check at some point as the removed parts are boxed up in the garage, never thought to check until now.

Definitely works better with some light color paint, say white or silver. Looks slightly out of place here because of those headlight details and I guess I'm not fan of the contrast either.

$155 and about 3 minutes of work later... This thread was a massive help. These are far easier to replace than the F10!

Black grills are nice and add a sporty flair. But I wouldn't put them on some of the G30 colors.

Are there any screws that need to be removed when replacing the grills? I'm just abit hesistant I don't mess it up, just getting it fitted by dealer before I come to fit the car next week!
