Are there any screws that need to be removed when replacing the grills? I'm just abit hesistant I don't mess it up, just getting it fitted by dealer before I come to fit the car next week!
Can this easily be done by a non mechanic with limited practical skills such as myself ?
3 minutes makes me tempted to try

There are 3 clips that hold it in located on top of grill (take a look at grill pieces above in this thread). Press them with a screwdriver, spread grill from car a bit using screwdriver, then simply pull. The bottom clips come right out. No screws.

Very easy, anyone can do it!

Then why mention it in the first place?

Any tips on how to install them? I see 3 locations on top to push in the tabs, unsure about the bottom.

Thanks!

Gunmetal looks great on all paints. Though, I also dislike all chrome exterior.

Anyone else have the m performance grilles fitted?

I have a problem with one, the outer clip keeps popping out, you can't really see it only noticed when cleaning it, but now noticed that it pops out each time it's driven.

Guess the dealership will have to provide a replacement.

I think the black grille looks great on my BSM. Dark car, tinted windows, shadow trim.. gives it a more aggressive look to me. Nothing else on the front of my car is chrome, except the headlight detail, so it looks great. I think I actually prefer chrome on anything lighter, because the lighter color would contrast too much with it.

Would you recommend it on a Mediterranean Blue? I don't have any other mods. Car is yet to come. It's a M Sport.

The reason I ask; I’m literally about to sign the order form for a G30 530D M Sport, with the plus Pack (among a few other options). First colour choice was sophisto grey with Black kidney grille, somebody then added sapphire Black with black grille into the mix! If your photo is sophisto, my mind is made made up! Looks cracking, just how imagined it would!

Sophisto was always my first choice...you then see other vehicles and get swayed! I think because its my first factory order I'm spoilt for choice rather than taking the best of whats available!

You say your G30 is long gone, I see from your avatar you have a benz now? May I ask why the switch? (I've been considering a C and E class)

Long story....

Sept 16 got my dream car F80 CP factory order took 6 months to get it. Forward through to Jan and Car had been in garage for 3 months so I rejected it.

Went with the G30 and it was a great car but I never looked back at it like I'd with the M3.

So BMW had pissed me off so went for the C63s and it was awesome the noise is just great.

Then my wife decided we were moving so I sold it to pay for the house

Now got a 6k Subaru Legacy, I do miss the cars but at the same time I love not having to worry about parking it and driving up kerbs etc

Could you show us the picture of Subaru Legacy. And when you said 6K do you mean 6,000 mileage Subaru or the car cost 6K?

What is the difference in the driving dynamics. Sorry for my ignorance

I admire your ability to drop the cars for a most important thing (property)
