Interesting. I'll have to email them to see what's available for the B58. I saw that everything on their site has been switched over the the GTS line, and prices have gone up I remember for the F10, ultimate was only a few dollars more than JB4.

Oh the side skirts look great in matte! Where did you get them? Or are they original M Performance?

how does the front lip influence practicality? are curbs, speedbumps or steep underground garages an issue?

love the look, but not sure I can pull it off on my kid hauler

I assume your car is not lowered, neither is mine.

So even with the added rubber lip I have no clearance issues on speed bumps of steep angles. I always use the 360 camera to ensure the front is not going over any kind of kerb when I park or do U turns.

Without the rubber lip and just the CF front, it doesn't stick forward by more than an inch and it takes away less than an inch of height clearance too, so definitely no problems there.

The OP would be extra careful since his car is so much lower than standard.

Lol, you got the front lip done already too.

The side skirts extension is original M Performance. Came in matte black ready for paint. I like it matte black.

It only add about 5mm thickness downward to the bumper and it doesn't extend beyond the bumper itself.

In my case, it didn't bother me at all on regular driving over bumps and driveways. I only have to watch out when parking (that's when I use my 360° view camera). Even before the lip, the bottom of my front bumper is barely clear the parking stops.

r33_RGSport - when you got your M Performance rear diffuser, was the bumper trim (the non-carbon part) delivered in matte black and you had to paint it? Or was it already gloss black?

The only bumper trim i can see on realOEM for the MP diffuser says matte black.

It comes matte gray primer. So, I got it painted gloss black.

Greatly appreciate the nice word, I would do that in a heartbeat if I don't have wife and kids.
All the priority are on the family now. This is just my hobby business.
Whatever income I got from doing this, going back to my car where at the end of the day benefitting all since I will share as much as I can.

Interesting the torque converter call only handle 500Nm MAX and to fit the M Performance upgrade they Change the Torque converter to handle the extra power, so how does fitting the race -chip keep longevity of the transmission????

I don't think it would matter much for regular usage and daily driver.
Unless if you are pushing the car pedal to the metal every single time like you are on the race track, most probably it won't last. Or even the car won't last that long.

Remember, all of these big corporation are milking the end users now.
That torque converter update that comes with the MPSK are standard on F20/F30 2 and 3 series with B58 motor, even the new G01 X3 M40iX comes standard with it.

I was thinking about this, but I saw AC Schnitzer's £3,000 tuning box is meant to deliver an extra 100nm of torque (so 50nm above the rating for our standard gearbox) and they are not installing a new TC.

Apparently, some dealers will install that for you if they are still on the ACS programme, which would make it covered under warranty.

It makes you wonder is all...

I'm just looking into getting either a RaceChip box or something similar, do you know if these boxes can be detected by the dealer once they have been removed? I've seen a couple of people say that the dealers can.

They can if they really want or need to.
Unless you blew a motor, they won't dig that deep.
Even that, they have to proof that the additional aftermarket product that is causing the damage before they can void your warranty.
That's why I like piggy back way more than flash tune, because it still rely on the stock safety cutoff point.
Of course, it won't give you the max output. But the peace of mind is best for a street car. I wouldn't want to be out there with my kids then the car stop working because of the flash tune.
