Any way to not have vent settings show in iDrive ev time I press AUTO?
Picked her up Saturday, 29 Sep. LOVING IT!! I have a few ?'s, but here's my most pressing one:
Each time I press the Auto key, the vent options (soft, medium, intense) come up in iDrive screen. If I'm using the GPS, then it's a hassle to go back to the Nav. Is there a way to prevent the vent options from appearing every time? Thanks!

that's weird. Doesn't happen to me. Either with the old software or with the new update they just installed few weeks ago. Check with your dealer.

Wow. must be a v27 issue. That would be distracting at first, but good to hear it turns off after a while.

Hmm. I just noticed this today (recent upgrade). How long does it take before it disappears?

Yes finally looked at it today, its pretty quick and the advantages for v27 when it come to ipod integration far outweigh this nuisance screen.

Like I said above, I find myself hitting "auto" quite a bit. Even at only a few seconds, I think this would really annoy me. I'll put $5 on this feature being removed sometime within the next two software updates.

I switch from lower to auto several times during a trip to work, my feet get chilly. This would be a nuisance and useless micro management, it reminds me of the overuse of flash and popups on web pages.... Oh cool look what we can do. Seriously, how many people adjust the vent settings everytime you hit the auto button. Ok I know it only 3 or 4 seconds but I'm gonna feel violated by a techno nerd. Now I will have to wait that amount time to flip my Sirius or dial someone up. I reckon I'll get over it.
