I agree. Consider also that they have to produce two headliners for the M5. With and without moonroof. They must have a very limited supply with the moonroof cutout headliner.

I watched a video on how to polish out scratches on a piano black dash. Tells me that it will show scratches easily. Another reason I went with wood grain.

Totally agree- luckily only a $700 upcharge for the m550, was a total no brainer along with the ceramic controls. I feel like the standard Dakota dash and door tops look cheap and disjointed when paired with a Napa leather interior.

I also have the nappa leather on my 530e and the upcharge for the leather dash was also $700. And I second the motion: well worth it.
