Uneven Road Surface App

I saw a release from BMW saying this feature is available for cars with "Live Cockpit Professional (Option Code 6U3) with vehicle software version 20-07 or newer." In simple terms, will this work with the pre-LCI idrive 7 lite?

I almost choked on my happy hour drink reading the post you linked to.

Have you tried the connected drive website to see if a delete/disable option exists? Or call BMW Genius line to ask them for help. There must be a way to at least silence that app.

Display warnings in your HUD about uneven surfaces ahead.. you know.. like speed bumps/humps. There's two of these in my neighborhood so I get this obnoxious warning and countdown (500ft/400ft/300ft) till you are at it. It's never told me about a pot hole or anything useful. Also doesn't tell me about most speed bumps.. just the two I drive on 10 times a day. As you might be able to tell, I think this app blows ass. If it had some like super up to date info on like newly developed potholes or craters in the ground.. that'd be cool.. but I don't think I've ever needed the car to warn me about a speed bump.

Sounds annoying.

If it use talemetry from other BMWs to warn of bad road conditions and pot holes etc now that would be brilliant.

Thanks I'll try that. I don't think I'd mind as much if it didn't take over my heads up display. Will give it a go to try and display it somewhere else or see if I can disable the route warnings in both if still annoying.

Ok here's an update. I don't see any way to permanently disable this piece of shit app. The link you said worked.. at first. But same problem I have with when I disable the app. It reverts to previous settings next time I start the car.

I was able to tell it to show route warnings in instrument panel .. but this setting was overridden at next start. What a piece of shit. Maybe I am the only one that hates this app with a passion but the car literally shouldn't function this way regardless. Maybe I need Car & Driver to do an article on this so BMW can fix it.
