Just placed an order

Just placed a order for an X5M in long Beach blue with aragon brown. Only thing I left off was night vision, since I never used it on my last car.

Dealer is hoping to get an allocation in July, it was either wait for him to get a slot or pay msrp at a dealer that had a slot. I figured I could be patient.

We just got a 50i X5 I can play around with in the meanwhile.

I think the 2016 allocations come out in August. Why not wait a month to get a 2016?

It might end up being a 2016, depending on when they get a slot. But since I am leasing, it really doesn't matter to me either way.

From my understanding the allocation for August production (first month of 2016 production) will be released later this month.

I have just received my X5M in Long Beach Blue this past Tuesday. It's absolutely amazing!
In respect to the color: In case you have not yet seen the color in person, the closest approximation be the official wallpapers pictures of the X6M in LBB. Everything else is misleading i. e. iPhone pictures, youtube videos etc. The color is much brighter in reality and once the sun shines in it even gets a strong turquoise touch!
Bottomline: It is a true M color and not just ordinary blue one could get the imagination....

.....and by the way I have been sitting in the X6 M in LBB with the Aragon Brown Leather a couple months ago. This leather is not brown but rather orange which let me go with the classic black full merino leather - looks awesome with the aggressive LBB and smells wonderful....just in case you are not sure about your very final set up of the car....;-)

Agree 100% about long beach blue. I didn't think much of the color, until I saw it in person, and then it made me a fan. Pictures definitely don't do it justice, especially its depth and sparkle, but the same can be said about donington grey, although that tends to photograph more easily to its true color. Have to agree, also, with your approximation of Aragon Brown. It is definitely more in the orange range than the brown range. It seems BMW was going for a darker version of the Hermes stock orange/brown leather, or that's my thought, anyway. I do like the color, but am unsure I could live with that interior long term.

Hmm...you got me questioning the Aragon now. I was thinking the lighting made it look more orange in the picture. I had a hard time deciding between silverstone ii and aragon when I placed the order.

Long beach blue isn't a color I would typically order, but my 4 year old daughter is ecstatic about a light blue car, so I did it to please her. I like the color, I just typically don't get bright colored cars.

I think both Aragon Brown, and Silverstone are amazing, classy colors in person, and one cannot go wrong with either. Go with your gut on it, but make sure you look at a ton of photos/videos online to see all the different ways Aragon Brown photographs, if you can't see it in person.

Here's a link to a good video online for Long Beach Blue, with Aragon Brown interior.

Agree, this video brings the true color of Long Beach Blue alive. Now have a look at other youtube videos of LBB and you think this is a different blue - unbelievable!

Silverstone was also one of my choices. It would go very well alongside LBB but I have two kids which certainly would transfer Silverstone into Black within 12 months. Therefore, I went directly for black 😄 However, LBB together with Aragon "Orange" was over the top for my taste. I wonder how LBB with Mugello Red looks like. I think you can only approach the car with sunglasses in this combination 😎

I guess I am keeping this color combination. My daughter is only 4 and I already can't say no to her.

I showed her the video and her reaction was.

blue and orange
blue and orange
blue and orange
blue and orange!
blue and orange!
