Hi everyone,

I recently ordered a 2023 M550i but my car as been stuck in “Entering Assembly Line” since last Thursday (06/01/23). I have called BMW Genius and they told me that my car is still scheduled to be completed by (06/12/23).

I have been following other posts in the channel and see peoples build getting past this stage in a day or two.

Is this usual to be stuck in a stage of production for more than a week.?

Yes, the car was built on 06/12/23 and passed quality check and it quickly moved to “Awaiting Carrier assignment” status.

I’ve had mine for 3 months now have enjoyed every mile, most drives are for the hell of it rather than any necessity.

With vin decoder you can find out all the option on there including what istep is on there. You might have the march 202; on there although not sure it offers anything over the November release to be honest

The two hard parts now
Waiting for it to arrive and running it in before you can exploit its full potential
Believe me you don’t have to thrash it to enjoy the car

Our M550 entered the assembly line April 20 and was awaiting carrier assignment April 22. In transit from Zeebrugge April 28 and we pick it up Friday.
