I ordered a carbon black M550i, paid deposit. The dealer told me it would hopefully be here in Feburary.

2 days later he sent me a picture of a skyscraper gray model and asked if I wanted to come check it out so I can see what I am buying.

Long story short, I fell in love with the color and decided to buy it on the spot. I am soooo happy I did not need to wait 4-5 extra months. This car was the exact same option build as the one I ordered (minus ventilated seats).

I paid MSRP which was $87,000

This is my first BMW. I have wanted this car since I was like 15 years old.

If you Dealer did not already mention it, you should get the MyBMW App and register with the BMWUSA website.

Also start reading up on Bimmercode stuff here so you can code/customize your car the way you want it.

Thank you! I am totally in love with the car. Right now my plans are to tint the windows and apply PPF to the front since I drive on the highway alot.

Definitely gonna have to look into Bimmercode. Any suggestions on popular customizations? I don't know much about it except I might need it to permanently turn off auto start/stop- I cant stand that feature.

Congrats. Great color. I ordered the same color in the specs I wanted but waited 4 months. I pick mine up tomorrow. Glad ypu were able to avoid the wait game.

Find a reputable place to do PPF and tint. Would steer you to Xpel products. I'm having Xpel full body stealth and Xpel tint installed later this week along with new paint prep.

This will answer most your Coding questions. Lots of things are easy, but some require "expert mode". I stay away from Expert mode, but if you're tech savvy it should not be an issue for you. There are quite a few YT videos that show you step by step coding as well.

It's gorgeous. I ordered a 530e in Skyscraper Grey Metallic. It's in production now, due to be built by next week. There aren't may pictures of G30s in Skyscraper Grey "in the wild", so thank you for posting!

If stop start is a nuisance you can program sport individual mode to your own preferences . Then just one press of a button and your car is set up as you like with the advantage of no stop start

Elmhurst BMW. I was just there Wednesday looking at an X7. I went there back in 2010 to take a look at a 328. They redesigned it since then.
