3 Stage Intake Manifold New vs Used

I'm going to do the 3IM swap soon and was wondering if there's any advantage of buying new vs used, other than saving $$$? I haven't read about any failed intake manifolds.

Yeah, I bought new OEM Disas, gaskets and bolts. Just contemplating if I should just complete the swap with a new manifold since all the other parts are new.

I would say no, other than the DISA valves there isn't really wear items on the manifold. A used manifold may have oil residue in it but that is pretty easy to clean up.

As long as the old one isn’t filled with oil, used manifold is the way to go. But if you have any intention of keeping the car, go FCP genuine DISAs. One failure pays for itself.

Exactly what I did. Used manifold and FCP DISA's.
