This thread was incredibly helpful to me in applying my side badges. When you search google for M G30 side badges, this thread is always on top. I thought I would share my process and measurements. Please note on the diagram, not all the supplies were needed. I pretty much only used a measuring tape, a dry erase red marker, and a level. I basically measured vertical and horizontal in a level fashion and then marked the intersection with a red dot. The red dot is where the bottom left corner of the badge is placed. I then used a small plastic level on the dot, pushed against the car and lined up the bottom of the badge, then applied. Hope this helps others who overthought the application ad nauseum, like me. I think the drawing below is self explanatory, but the double lines are the fender edge where it meets the door horizontally and the bottom of the door vertically. The arch is the wheel well.
